There are only 2 parties. The party of Allah and the party of Shaitan. The party of Tawheed and the party of Shirk.
Unquestionably the party of Shaytan will be the losers.
Quran (58:19)
Unquestionably the party of Allah they are the successful
Quran (58:22)
Tawheed isn’t simply knowing there’s a Creator and knowing His attributes, otherwise Iblees would be upon Tawheed, but it’s also worshiping, obeying, and submitting to the Creator.
Of course we’re not expected to be perfect slaves of Allah, but we are expected to try our best. We are expected not to work against Allah and Islam like Iblees and his followers do.
Keeping that in mind knowledge can be divided into two types. Knowledge directly from Allah which can have no error, and knowledge from our experiences, investigations, contemplation, and discovery. Which can be correct if it aligns with Islam or can be wrong if it goes against Islam.
So when it comes now to ideologies such as feminism, liberalism, communism, and secularism it becomes very easy to dismiss them. We have our own holistic system from Allah, which is Islam, and non-Muslims have developed their own systems not based on revelation. So it can have some correct things in it for sure, but very obviously will have many incorrect things as well. We can’t simply accept it wholesale.
A person could dig through the rubbish and try bringing out some gems from their systems, but realistically any gems you find are already in Islam. And everything else you find would simply be rubbish.
So save yourself the trouble and just stick to Islam.
The crazier the world gets the more and more obvious it is that Islam is the only acceptable system, and all other systems are flawed. As Allah says in the Quran (surah asr).
By time, (1) Indeed, mankind is in loss, (2) Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience. (3)
When Allah talks about the polytheists worshiping idols, worshiping their forefathers, worshiping the stars it is used as examples to learn from and are applicable today upon the people of today.
The Quran deals with the human condition, which has remained unchanged throughout all of humanity’s existence.
We were made to worship, so when we don’t worship Allah we worship other things. The people of the past worshiped their idols, and the people of today have their own idols who they worship. Sure they may not bow down to the idol itself, but worship isn’t only bowing down.
It’s following, obeying, submitting, idolizing, overly praising and so on. When Allah commanded the angels to bow down to Adam, and they did, did that mean they were worshiping Adam? When Yousuf AS family bowed down before him does that mean they were worshiping him?
In the ummah of Muhammad PBUH bowing down is for none other than Allah, but prior to that it wasn’t simply for worship but also for respect. The issue isn’t that idol worshipers were only bowing, the issue is they were seeking help from the idols, making dua to the idols, living their lives based on the made up beliefs surrounding the idols, and praising the idols with praise only due to Allah.
So we can agree that the people in modern society have their idols who they worship such as the founding fathers of America, Martin Luther King jr., Celebrities, Presidents and so on. Not to mention the other things they worship such as themselves, money, science, technology, sports, liberalism, false religions, LGBTQ, feminism, red pill movement, secularism and so on.
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allah has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allah? Then will you not be reminded? (23) And they say, “There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time.” And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.
Quran (45:23-24)
Some of us might think well I like aspects of feminism, or red pill, or communism and so on. What’s wrong with me taking those aspects? My response is, that statement is implying that Islam is lacking in some way and requires or benefits from these kaafir ideologies. Islam is complete.
This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.
Quran (5:3)
When something is complete it cannot benefit or accept any addition. And as we know any addition is in fact biddah, which will never be accepted. Additionally these ideologies are from Kuffar who are misguided. If it’s a tool we can accept and utilyze it, like a phone or a car, but when it’s a belief, a way of life, then we reject it.
Indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam.
Quran (3:18)
And whoever desires other than Islam as religion – never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers.
Quran (3:85)
Thus it should be clear now that secularism isn’t a neutral point of view, by not taking any religion’s view point. Secularism isn’t a system all people regardless of religious background can follow in peace and harmony.
Rather Secularism itself is a religion.
When the western world chose to keep their government and laws separate from Christian beliefs, they inevitably made up a new religion which is secularism.
This is why tawheed is so important. Worshiping Allah is our purpose and when you stray from that you end up upon shirk. As people of tawheed we shouldn’t even want to go near shirk.
We don’t want to follow the actions or beliefs of the people of shirk. We don’t want to take them as our close friends or allies.
Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “A man is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.” (Tirmidhi)
We don’t want to let them indoctrinate our kids, through the education system, or through movies and TV shows.
We want to guard ourselves as best as we can from their evil. We want to see the world through the lens of Islam and tawheed, rather than through the lens of secularism and shirk.
In the western world they’ve worked hard to separate religion from everyday life. Yes you can keep your religion, so long as you accept that secular laws supersede your religion. So long as you don’t express it openly in the work place, or at school, or in government. You can express your religion in your mosque and your home and that’s it.
They try to make the head scarf a cultural symbol, rather than an Islamic one. Or they try to make it a fashion statement that you should stylize, where pink bright attractive colors, meanwhile wearing tight jeans and a tight top. Completely taking away the whole point of the head scarf.
By doing this, it’s very clear that the message being delivered is that secularism is important and necessary whereas religion is unimportant and unnecessary.
Islam however isn’t only for the house and the mosque. It’s for every aspect of your life. Islam isn’t like Christianity, where you don’t have to really do anything. Jesus died for your sins. Do whatever you want. Ask for forgiveness or don’t. Either way you’re fine.
No. Islam is a whole way of life, so Islam and secularism cannot mix.
The human being’s value isn’t in amassing wealth, advancements in technology, advancements in scientific discoveries. The human’s value is in morality. There were more amazing civilizations before us. More powerful. Longer lasting.
Have they not traveled through the earth and observed how was the end of those before them? They were greater than them in power, and they plowed the earth and built it up more than they have built it up, and their messengers came to them with clear evidences.
Quran (30:9)
Did that save them at all when the punishment of Allah came? Rather their pride was their own downfall.
And Allah would not ever have wronged them, but they were wronging themselves.
Quran (30:9)
The human’s value is in worshiping Allah alone without any partners. So don’t fall for the advancements the west and the east may have, which is built on corruption, war and greed. Rather look at the sahabah who will be rewarded by Allah with the highest levels of Jannah forever.
Jannah that has no pain or suffering. No hardship. No heat or cold. No sorrow, no boredom, no sleep, and no work. A Jannah that is never ending and is only for those upon tawheed.
Therefore we must be very careful about what our kids learn and from where. We will be questioned about our children. Are we raising them to be Muslims upon tawheed or are we raising them to become kuffar upon shirk.
Besides Math just about every subject is potentially worrisome depending on how it’s taught. Science has it’s issues with big bang, and evolution.
History with the western centered world view praising the western achievements while mostly ignoring any one else’s.
English with secular books teaching kaafir morality, relationships, and cultures, social studies with its 30 articles of human rights not based on Islam.
Social justice based on emotions, democracy as the best system for mankind and so on. Not to mention the shirk festivals and celebrations throughout the year. Not to mention the social pressures from the students themselves to fornicate, do drugs and alcohol, party, listen to obscene music, pornography, immodest dress and language, and much more.
How can any conscious Muslim, except one who has no other choice, choose to send their kids to this breeding ground for evil?
After all this indoctrination is it any wonder society is so messed up and corrupt? This is why we need to protect our own Islam and also bring Islam to them.
The best way is to live Islam. Embody Islam within our selves and within our children. We can’t have it both ways.
We can’t be American culturally, listening to their music, watching their movies, repeating their anti Islamic slogans, following their shirk beliefs and ways of life, and think we’re still proper Muslims. How can we love what Allah hates and think we’re safe from Allah’s punishment.
Abu Umamah reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever loves for the sake of Allah, hates for the sake of Allah, gives for the sake of Allah, and withholds for the sake of Allah has perfected the faith.” (Abi Dawud 4681)
It’s either Tawheed or Shirk. You can’t have both.

A fun moral comic for kids
