Keep Trying

َO mankind! surely We have created you of a male and a female, and made you tribes and families that you may know each other; verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you; surely Allah is Knowing, Aware (al-Hujurat 49:13)

You can only learn when you make mistakes. and you can only make mistakes if you TRY! As little toddlers we’re fearless. We’re ready to try anything and everything. We’ll jump off chairs, climb tables, stick our hands on the stove, mess with the electric socket and more!

But then something happens to us, and we get scared. Scared that people will laugh at us. Scared that we won’t be good. Forget all of that!

Why be worried about what PEOPLE think? They’re no better than yourself. Especially if they would LAUGH at someone for trying and failing! They probably don’t try anything new in their own lives.

So what if you failed? You have to fail over and over and over, until finally you succeed. And in the end it’s about perspective. If you’re trying to please the people, then know they won’t ever be pleased, and even if they were, it wouldn’t benefit you!

Instead you should work hard to please the Lord of the worlds. The Lord who doesn’t judge you based on your success but based on your efforts!

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but rather he looks at your hearts and actions.

So be fearless. Try and fail, then get up and try some more!
