Belief in Allah (4)

All praise is due to Allah. Allah is the Creator. He is the only one worthy of being worshiped. He has no parents, children, wives, or partners. He is the unique and alone deserves to be worshiped. He is the giver of life and the causer of death, while death has no effect on Him. He is eternal and absolute.

It is Allah who created this complex world. The seen and the unseen. The evident and the speculative. Allah sent prophets with the same message of only worshiping Allah alone, with no partners whatsoever.

The previous messages sent from other prophets have been changed, and the names of most of those prophets are lost.

And We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], “Worship Allah and avoid worshiping false gods.” (16:36)

This essential message has been preserved in Islam. It was never preserved like this before. Not because it’s a different message. It’s the same message, but Allah is not sending any more prophets. Thus the message has to be preserved unlike the messages before.

But why should we worship Allah? We should worship Him because it is the very reason for our creation.

And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me. (51:56)

Allah doesn’t need our worship but He wants it from us. It can only benefit us, and could never harm us. The reward for following His perfect laws, and living in a way that is beneficial to ourselves and all of human kind is paradise. Paradise is unlike anything the heart can imagine. The worst person of paradise will be given the likes of 10 earths. Imagine having whatever you could ever want in this earth, then times it by 10. It boggles the mind. How merciful Allah is!

Allah is so great. Look at this world that is so huge. It can hold billions of humans.  But compared to the sun, which is only one star. You can place 1.3 million Earths in the sun. Look at how huge the sun is! The sun is just one star. Millions of stars are needed to make one galaxy. There are trillions upon trillions of galaxies out there. Everything we see of the universe with the trillions upon trillions of galaxies is just the first heaven. Allah is the creator of 7 heavens!

All the heavens compared to the kursee (chair) of Allah is like a ring in a desert. So small and insignificant. So huge to us, but to the kursee it’s tiny. It’s not worth mentioning. The kursee compared to the arsh (throne) of Allah is the ring, and the arsh (throne) is the desert. Above the arsh (throne) is Allah. Allahu Akbar!

Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great. (2:255)

This concludes my articles on the belief in Allah. There is of course much much more to know, which can be found in the Quran, Hadith and books of knowledge.
